Hi guys, somebody could you send me the certification QA manual test suite?
Hi, i work in Argentina in a testing team in qubit.tv
Now i am testing the Smart tv application but we do manual testing.
The cuestion is, I know all markets have a testing suite for all applications previous to go up to the
store. For example Microsoft have an specific test suite for Xbox and Surface, LG the same for smartTv,
and the same for android apps.

We have same of them but i ask you if you can send me that consolidation test suite.

On the official website https://www.yourappontv.com/documentation/example-code, is an example of how the keyboard is implemented, but when tested on the TV and had the status of input focus, the system appeared under the keyboard and the screen and keyboard which was implemented from example (CE-HTML examples / Virtual keyboard) and then we screen two keyboard. Here the question arises whether the TV on all versions of the system has a keyboard? If so, you can find out where to get documentation on it? If not on all versions of TV system has a keyboard, how then oprydilyty keyboard when you show?

Thanks. They don't seem to have a developer portal.

Weren't they part of the Smart TV Alliance at one point, and do any old devices still support STA?

Hi

I can package and install a webOS app on a webOS tv with no problem using the "ares" commands.

However, can anyone tell me how to install an STA app on the same device in compatibility mode?

From what I can tell, Philips are only supporting Android in their latest devices (in the UK, at least).

Hi

I see from the 'Conformed Device List' that LG only lists devices from 2013 and 2014. Does that mean that STA is not supported on any LG devices from 2015 onwards?

Hi

None of the Samsung devices support the STA platform. Newer Samsung devices use the Tizen platform, while older ones use Orsay.

However, since the core of your app code will be Javascript and HTML5, you can port it to Tizen and Orsay. This mostly involves replacing the media playback and device handling (eg network connection check, device id, key codes etc) portions of your code.

Hi, I am trying to upload the sample web app into LG Seller Lounge but getting the error "No App File".
But sample app can be uploaded into LG developer account.

and why this error is showing for same app while uploading into LG Seller Lounge.

Here just I want to understand the app submission process.

and please let me know how I can test the application by uploading into Store for testing without USB connect process.

just purchased a new LG smart tv model LG 40LF630V.
wanting to install plex on it but cannot find a "download " anywhere , the model is not listed in " supported LG models " but its a new model so i haven't given up hope yet , does anyone please know where i can find a download link ?

App development questions • Emulator error!!

Hello team,

I want to run my app using "Deploy to SDK". but when i do that, i get error: Connection refused:connect. I really dont have any idea why. I have Oracle virtualbox installed. I just open that before i run the app. Also, I just see one file name sdk.vbox.template in my installed folder.

Please guide me how can run the app on the emulator.

Hello TV,

I have a HTML app to be run on SMart TV alliance TV's. I am really confused with the documentation. I have installed smart tv alliance 4.0 SDK.
There are no proper documentation on how to create and run the apps using this SDK. Also, where is the information about the STA emulator? I don't see any documentation on emulator!! where is STA emulator first of all? is it installed automatically during installation of SDK? if so, how to use that? How create new project and run on STA emulator or on TV? How to import the example code into SDK?

Seems many question!!! but, I really couldnot find any answers with the documentation given!!!

Please please help!!
